Maybe it’s all this emotional junk that seems to be going on right now or maybe it’s just that Jack’s Mannequin has been dominating my playlist lately … I don’t know … but I am falling in love with the piano.
Andrew McMahon is a bit of a hero of mine right now and tonight’s Night of Noel at FCC only further re-enforced my growing love in that sound. Uplifting to my current state of mind and so sweet in my ears, it is just the best right now. It’s almost enough to make me want to learn to play, just so I can be a part that sound.
Here are some of the piano rockers I am currently listening to:
Do you have any that you like? What is favorite sound in music right now?

A few weeks back at Status, during worship they used violin and I’ve always loved that instrument/wanted the abilitiy to play it because it has such a wide range. I haven’t really found all that much that incorporates it in, but I haven’t really looked either.
Anathallo has given me a big appreciation for horns. Trumpets are I think what I hear the most, but I really have no idea. I do have an idea that I love it a lot though. And the clapping. More music needs clapping solos.
Yes … there is not nearly enough clapping in songs. :)
I just remembered something fun … at some point when I was younger, my stereo kinda broke and for some reason would play the bass portions of music louder than anything else. That’s pretty much where I developed my love for the bass lines in The O.C. Supertones music and what probably lead me to wanting to play the bass guitar.
